Who We Want in the Room

We choose for willingness, not polish.

You do not need to arrive fully developed. That would defeat the purpose. We are looking for people who recognize that greater capacity can be trained and who are willing to participate seriously in that process for a full year.

Mission-Driven

You want your development to make you more useful to your family, work, community, mission, or the world—not merely more comfortable.

Responsible

You can identify what belongs to you without making another person, your history, or your circumstances responsible for your future.

Coachable

You can receive clear feedback, be wrong, change your mind, and practice what is taught without turning correction into conflict.

Participatory

You understand that insight is not the objective. Repeated demonstration is. You are willing to train between classes and under pressure.

Community-Minded

You can be part of a serious room without making the room revolve around your moods, stories, preferences, or temporary discomfort.

Committed

You can protect the time, energy, logistics, and financial resources required for a one-year live experience.

This application is not a performance. We would rather read an accurate answer than an impressive one.

First, tell us who you are.

We use this information to review your fit for the live Clayton cohort and to contact you about the application.

Why Lifted Ascent—and why now?

Ascent is not designed simply to relieve a problem. We want to understand what is calling you into a year of deliberate development.

Where is your development incomplete?

There is no advantage in pretending to be strong where you are not. This section helps us understand your current human-development gap.

What is your development for?

We care about personal outcomes. We also care whether becoming stronger makes you more useful beyond yourself.

Tell us what belongs to you.

Ascent requires the ability to tell the truth about your own contribution without collapsing into shame or escaping into blame.

What happens when your ego gets involved?

Everyone likes the idea of feedback until the feedback contradicts the story they are attached to. We want to know how you work when training becomes uncomfortable.

What kind of cohort member will you be?

A small live cohort is not just a delivery format. The quality of the room becomes part of the training.

Can you actually do the training?

Desire matters. Capacity matters too. Please answer based on your real calendar, commute, obligations, and resources—not the schedule you hope will somehow appear later.

Current program structure: one year, live in Clayton, California, with scheduled in-person training up to four days per week. The current cohort is planned to begin November 30, 2026. Confirm final dates, times, financial commitment, and enrollment terms in your acceptance conversation.

Readiness self-assessment

These are not grades. They help us compare your stated desire with your current capacity.

Mission beyond selfDesire to become more capable in service of something larger than comfort or self-improvement.

Lifted Academy is a human-development training institution. Your Lifted Ascent application is complete.

Thank you for answering accurately. The Lifted Academy team will review the application for readiness, mission, responsibility, coachability, contribution, scope, and practical ability to complete the year.

If there appears to be a fit, the next step is an acceptance / enrollment conversation. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.

What Happens Next

We are choosing a cohort—not filling a cart.

The goal is to create a room of people who can be trained deeply, strengthen one another, and become evidence for what deliberate human development can produce.
