“Ted is a verb. He happens to you.” —Julie Hayes, Star Client
The longest road became the method.
Ted did not begin his physical life with obvious athletic advantages. His own journey began with substantial limitations and problems to solve.
Strength did not come easily or linearly. He had to learn how to work around weakness, injury, structural challenges, failed approaches, and setbacks that forced him to understand adaptation rather than simply follow a program.
That journey eventually took him from considerable physical deficit to national-level competition. Yet the championship was never the most important outcome.
Because Ted had to travel so far to become strong himself, he was forced to understand how strength was actually constructed.
His individual transformation became the laboratory through which he learned to transform others.
“My greatest accomplishment was never simply becoming strong. It was learning how to make other people strong.”
